NAAS CALLS FOR CONGRESS

NAAS PRESIDENT

The Congress which was anchored by the president of the faculty in person of Hon.Uthman Azeez Adewale (Mellow) held at the 500level hall based his discussion on the outcome of the meeting with the Vice chancellor of the University (Osun state university) in person of Prof. Labode popoola.

The meeting which started with the VC late last year on the issue of LATE COURSE REGISTRATION FEE OF 10,000 which was not brought to conclusion and was later held early January where the VC said if 75% of students can pay his/her tuition fee that the portal will be opened and the late registration will be lifted.

After the portal had been closed, unfortunately 58% of the students have made payment which is unsatisfying to the VC, placing a late reg fee of #10,000 to further pays.

 A peaceful protest was held on Thursday, 16th February 2017 by students from all campuses against the payment of school fees with the late registration fee appealing to the Vice Chancellor to lift the late registration fee off payment giving students little time to meet up with all requirement (half/full payments). But news reaching the school management that few students had already made payments with the late registration fee leaving the VC and the entire school management with a tough decision to make. Stated by the management, all student must made payment attached with the late registration fee on or before 28th February, 2017.
Below, shows the analysis of the number of students that made payments already (WITH LATE REGISTRATION FEE) in each campus;
Osogbo = 30
Ejigbo=4
Ikire=13
ifetedo=0
ipetu ijesa=?
Okuku=?

In light of this, the NAAS president urged all students to find means to pay their fees in other not to loose their studentship following the vice chancellor's order.
